Grant Process and Timeline

All grant Letters of Intent (LOIs) must be received by August 1. Each LOI should include a brief description of the proposed initiative and explain how it meets one of the following grant qualification criteria:

The Dr. Philip Gibbs Memorial Disease Prevention Grant

Applicants must demonstrate how their program, initiative, testing service, or treatment helps prevent the future progression or initial presentation of a disease or disease process.

The Kelley Gibbs-Budd NP Memorial Head Injury Grant

Applicants must demonstrate how their program, initiative, testing service, or treatment helps prevent or reduce the risk of head injuries related to everyday activities.

Important Dates

  • August 1: Letter of Intent deadline
  • September 1: Notification of LOI acceptance for full proposal
  • November 1: Full grant proposal deadline (must follow the W.K. Kellogg Foundation – Logic Model Development Guide)
  • December 15: Award notification and payment (award payment is only provided once the accompanying grant agreement is executed without alterations/edits)
Grants have historically been between $5-$15K per year. Please gear your proposals and name the amount of funding you are requesting.
